I was very very angry. I mean, annoyed just doesn't cover the gamut of completely infuriated thwarted ineffective stimiedness. :)

I always keep a coin purse out with my coffee money in it - and there was enough for a bus ride home. But I cheated and took a cab home and had my husband pay for it when I got there (he always gets home from work before I do). I was in my indoor shoes, and my walking shoes were locked up in the filing cabinet, not so much to be safe as to get them out of sight. And I was really really angry and didn't want to ride the bus home infuriated and hostile.

I had money at home to take the bus to work this morning. We also have a spare key for guests, so I used that. If you don't have a key, you can't lock up our apartment when you leave. It can only be locked from the outside with a key.

No biscuit, indeed. :)
