To find others to read, you can start by your profile. If you have interests filled out, click one (idk, click something like baking) and a list of users and comms interested in baking will come up.

Also, DW has a latest posts page that shows public entries. It's how I found you and I read that more than my LJ friends page now. http://www.dreamwidth.org/latest
