So, no doubt you remember the whining about the bofocals[1]. Whine whine whine.

So, this week I bought myself two pairs of glasses - one reading pair and one distance pair. I really like the reading pair - I can see the whole page and the whole computer screen in the whole of the lens and it is in focus all over. Yay. I like the distance pair, since I can see far away and the ground - and watching TV is very clear. Yay. I had hoped they would go as dark as the old darkest photogray - but no. So, nearly a pair of sunglasses, but not really.

The trick is that neither pair does the other task "good enough". With the distance pair, I can see the bus number, and the ground when I step on and off, but once on or while waiting, I can't text. With the reading pair, I can text and read, but can't see the bus number, nor are people across the living room (we haz a little living room) in focus.

Oh well. The reading ones are really cute. :)
