Nicked from [livejournal.com profile] ahruman  on twitter.

Organizers of the game launch of Texas Battlefield 3 have banned women from attending in order to protect the women from misogynistic comments.

Private party; people can do what they want; but geeze, guys.

They're welcome to stay at their "gentemen's event" as long as they wish. If they never come back the world will be a nicer place. Just keep on playing those video games, guys. It's not important that you meet girls and breed. In fact it's better if you don't, okay?

Whilst this is deplorable, I feel the need to point out that it's not the game launch, it's an event that a place is having to capitalise on the game launch.

Also, the game's just called Battlefield 3, but the event's in Texas.

The organisers, however, remain wastes of carbon.

Not only sexists but hypocritical sexists at that.

If they don't want girl-cooties on their party that's bad enough, but pretending they're doing it to protect the delicaye little girlies...faugh!

I hope there's a power failure.
