Pine-scented cleaners - yuck.
Aug. 21st, 2010 01:17 pmSomebody downstairs is cleaning with Pinesol - and from the smell of it: *undiluted* Pinesol. Argh argh argh.
I really loathe the smell of pine-scented cleaners. When I were a tiny lass, public places used to be "cleaned" with Pinesol. Because the scent is so unmistakeable, many unsavoury places of commerce (such as: small town gas-stations where you *had* to stop to fill up your car because there wasn't another gas station until your tank would be empty again) would splash it around, so that it smelled like the place had been cleaned - but the most cursory glance could tell you that the place hadn't been cleaned since it was built - sometime shortly after the last ice age. So, now I equate the smell of pine-scented cleaners with unbelievable filth.
Ew ew ew ew ew.
ETA: As anyone who has visited my home knows - I am a slovenly housekeeper. Fortunately, I work outside the home and so don't have to take my self-definition from the condition of my home. But - if it grosses me out - it is pretty damn bad.
