Under the weather

I've always liked that way of describing feeling poorly. It implies that is is bad enough to be miserable (rain running down the part in your hair, sort of thing), but ultimately survivable.

Myself lately I feel to be under the natural disaster, like an avalanche or something.

My back is bad, which influences every little thing a person does. I am irritable and whiny.
