Now it's freezing but sunny.
Mar. 10th, 2009 07:19 pmMonday we woke up to snow on the ground and more falling. Getting to work could have been worse, but SOGP says that it was very slippery and tricky up near Metrotown (edge of Burnaby and Vancouver - big mall in an area of higher elevation). However, but lunchtime it was all melted away downtown from the sunshine, if not the warmth, except for little dripping piles in the shadows. Then it got cold in the evening and colder overnight. I think it was minus 4 C on my way to work. The sun was out all day though, cold as it was, and the little piles of remaining snow are now crunchy and not leaving.
Aside - I generally hate time changes in either direction; I really wish they would pick one and stick with it - but I will say that it is very nice that the sun has just set and the sky still has light in it, and it is 7:24 pm local time. Ahhhhh - big satisfied sigh.
