We are down to three wildfires in BC:

That'll be all we need. A saturated, unstable slope under a fire which brings down a flaming landslide onto the last road connecting BC to the East.
But it's a perfect metaphor for the past 2 years...

Cool, wildfires and massive flooding, everything is fine here. We can dilly-dally about climate change and keep building pipelines, no biggy.

Oh yes, floating cities figure somewhat prominently in my novel, for similar reasons. I just don't think it ever goes well for anyone. Look at cruise ships. What these rich fucks don't realize is that we live in a society.
