They've stopped carrying my razors again.  They want me to buy razors that I need to buy blades for, but the last time that happened they then stopped carrying the blades.  We can't get vacccuum[1] bags for our vaccuuuum any more.  My SOGP has lately been spending most of his spare netting time trying to find the correcting tape for his Mom's Smith-Corona electric typewriter.  I had to throw away a Brother's electric typewriter after I could no longer get any kind of ribbons for it.  I had purchased that with a scholarship I got in my first year of university studies.  Ten years later - phhhht.  At least SOGP's Mom can still get the black ribbons - but you know how it is when you get used to being able to correct things as you type.

From now on I'm not buying anything that requires special bits.  Generic bits - maybe.

[1] - I have no idea - I'm just going for multiple everything.

I know exactly what you mean. It's time to change the brush part on my electric toothbrush again, and guess what? Yep, they don't stock them anywhere. I'm supposed to throw it away and buy a whole new brush (which is obviously more expensive than the old version).

Slightly relevant, and hopefully cheering: cool things to build with typewriters!
