Last Thursday morning I placed our outgoing Christmas cards in a red mail box on Granville Island for pick up after 5:00 pm.  My neighbour got hers Friday.  Someone in Boston got theirs Monday.  And someone in Belgium got theirs Tuesday.  For goodness sake's, even.  I've sent a package express post to my MIL in Surrey (less than 20 miles away and 90 minutes by bus) and it has taken five days.  Business days.
