I went to Edmonton ...
Feb. 16th, 2009 06:32 pm... and you did not. :)
My friend, whom I have known since we were 13, got married on Valentine's Day, and we went. It was lovely. It was minus 14 C in the daytime and at least minus 18 C in the nighttime. Fortunately there was sunshine and no wind. It was beautiful. If I'd found work in Edmonton while we were in Alberta, we would have stayed happily. Really like Edmonton.
I never announce we are going anywhere in a public forum, because you never know who is reading - Hi Bryan :) . Auntie Edith said you sometimes show her this journal - you can friend me if you like. Ahem. :)
I will write more - well, post a few pictures of the Rockies from the air at least - later, but I am seriously bagged, and I need to go to work tomorrow.

Date: 2009-02-17 02:49 pm (UTC)It turns out that our favorite restaurant/alternative grocery store is gone - and it looks like it has been gone for a while - there is a Sobeys there now - not the same. Sorry for the misinformation.
However, we *did* discover a new good cafe next door to Audrey's Books. The Commodore Cafe. Cash only, a little bit of Chinese food (Canadian Chinese food), a lot of old diner food (raisin pie and pork chops), and excellent breakfast foods. We'd go again. The fact that it is next door to Audrey's Books has nothing to do with it in anyway at all, no sirree.
