Cloudy skies, that's how.  *whew*

We've had unrelenting sun and high temperatures for the last 10 days or so.  At first it is welcome, but by day 6 it is too much.  Vancouver is accustomed to more rain, and we don't have many automatic sprinkling systems - things start to wilt.  Also, people get very crabby.  I'm one because I don't sleep well in the heat.  And the city starts to stink in a very stinky way.

Yesterday we had a few wisps of cloud veiling us from the sun, and there was a strong breeze stirring up the air.  I stayed up 'til one this morning, leaving the doors open with fans blowing to get all that gross hot air out of the apartment.  Then I slept 'til noon in blessed cool.

The day is continuing cool (75 F) in the house, so that is nice.  We could do with a good downpour, though, to freshen things up.  The interior could do with the rain more, to help dampen the fire near Lillooet.

If this is June, then July and August are likely to be beastly.

But, for now, yay the blessed cool.
