Can't view the comments of any livejournal posts from home.

I am angry about this, but also inebriated, so probably won't make sense.  Basically: fuck all the things.

What happens in different browsers?

This is very weird. I still can't view the comments on anyone else's entries - once at the comments get flipped to the list of their posts within 3 seconds - but I can view mine (this one, for instance) fine. I also can't make comments on anyone else's entry. So. If it is a browser problem, it's a weird one. I mean. Our home system was last updated five or so years ago, but it is the selective weirdness that has me puzzled. And cranky, but I expect you took the cranky as read. :)

Try either Chrome or Firefox and tell me if they work better...

Okay. During the week at work I use Firefox and can see the comments.

But then, you see, last night I forgot all about the issue (last day of work until the new year, yay, have more wine, yay, etc) and checked LJ at home, reading the comments without trouble or thought.

Then today I remembered, and checked again, and can read comments at home. So. While I concede that different browsers behave differently, I maintain that this recent problem was Some Other Shit - unknown.

I hate that bogus pixie shit, y'know?

I'm seeing what you post, but haven't tried messing with my journal. I kinda fell off the whole "use LJ instead of Facebook" thing.

I know. The level of brain engagement here is better (by a bunch), and also currently on Facebook I am buried in a deluge of sentimental twaddle - but it is very easy to get lost in Facebook for an hour or more. And I only play lexulous, so it is not the game suction that uses the time.
