Day Three of the Happy ...

I am happy because it is Saturday, and I got to sleep in today, and the sun is shining brilliantly (even if the air is a bit crisp), and the little birds are out on the wall top eating Bob's Red Mill 10-grain cereal and singing their little hearts out.
Last Saturday was the National Portfolio Day at ECU, which I helped at. No sleeping in. Insane amounts of sugar-bombed adolescents running from room to room with their portfolios to find their line and then spending long hours waiting, while their sugar wears off, for their 10-minute turn. I stood on cement all day, which is wearing. Then the next day we went to the first of two workshops for the making of star lanterns (which we will carry in the Lantern Procession on the Solstice: http://www.secretlantern.org/ ). Not much rest last weekend, and it took me most of the week to recuperate. So - sleeping in without the need to rush off to something is pretty fine.
Besides which - my best and most refreshing sleep always happens between 5:00 am and 9:00 am - and weekdays I get up at 6:00 am.
