Also do not have breast cancer.

In August there was a left breast cancer scare that I am now pretty well entirely sure was a spider bite - but an ultrasound and mammogram were scheduled. The ultrasound did not show the lump that was felt by both my doctor and me because by then it had gone down, as had all the rest of the spider bite symptoms (fever, headache, localized owie - no bite mark, though). But I was scheduled for a mammogram, which came up last week and I attended - and it appeared to show calcification of the lymph glands in the right arm pit, so more ultrasounds. I got a last minute cancellation, and let me tell you that ultrasound technicians who have been asked again to check for something that doesn't appear to be there, really grind away, squishing all your flabby bits to get at the important parts. Ow.
I have normal weensy cysts in both breasts, and I can wait until the next regularly scheduled mammogram to check everything again. That's two years from now.
I am still waiting for the final breathing test for my heart murmur. The heart murmur investigation started in the beginning of May and turned up the lung thing, which delayed some tests and speeded up some others. (PS - heart murmur is a life-time thing, just investigating the changes as I age.)
I do not understand why the breast cancer investigation did not use the PET scan done for the lung cancer review - but it did not. The medical system is so damn silo'd for efficiancy that nobody talks to anybody else. Efficient for whom is my question. Rhetorical because it surely ain't for me.
