So. The lung specialist believes that the things in my lungs are sarcoid tissues. Sarcoidosis is poorly understood - but it ain't cancer, so yay.

They don't know what causes sarcoid tissue, although certain genetic groups are more prone to it. Scandinavian background is one. Well shucks - the Sorgen genes have some downsides, I must say.

While I know that I am reading for the best and merely glancing over the worst, in general sardoidosis can be managed, or at least there are a lot of options to try.

In other news, my valiant attempts to make the CPAP part of my every day life continue. Monday night it won, but I have been gaining ground since then. I'm so tense about it I have a stiff neck. :) It shall get better; I shall persevere.

I'm not at all glad you have sarcoidosis, but I'm glad you have sarcoidosis! ...Wait.

All the *hugs*, waiting to find out must have been really quite awful.

Re: the CPAP, I think it took Pol about a year and three different models before he was very married to his (although he was always very in favour of keeping on trying). I know eventually it was just a comfortable(ish) part of his routine.

He did say he found out to not sleep in a cold room, after he waterboarded himself awake. However, the reason he perservered was because he did get more restful nights and was stunned by the difference. Just not every night for quite a while, it's a whole process (I mean you know that, sorry, but it's definitely not just you).

They make lots of different masks and different models work in different ways, so talk any repeating problems over with your specialist, it might just be a case of swapping something out. Models get better all the time, too.

Best wishes with getting good, refreshing sleep.
