The Christmas cards were mailed this morning, and have been collected from their box, and are, even now, sitting in a warehouse in Richmond. :) People in the lower mainland will *probably* get them by Friday, but people in other parts of BC & Alberta will get them between Christmas and New Years, and people in far flung places might see them in 2008. Early 2008 if they are lucky.
I have committed further shopping, and I am very pleased with what I found for my Mom-In-Law. I have something pedestrian (oh, ho ho, I just realized that's a pune - they're socks) for my father. Dull, but he'll use them. Previously , I bought him a flash/thumb/usb[1] drive, and I have been gathering info from the web for him to learn how to use it. A little bit more exciting, but a lot more risky in terms of "will he like it" quotient.
Have you noticed how there is just never enough beer? Amazing. All of human history, and we still haven't solved this simple problem.
[1] - usb? ubs? All I know for sure is that the U is in front.
