So. I still think I had mumps. My doctor doesn't want to do a blood test because there is no issue of sterility for a post-menopausal woman. Aw, thanks.

Here is my more complete mumps saga. Remember the back ache that put me back in bed for a couple days? I think that was actually an ovary being mumped. Some of the sympathy pains were similar to the sympathy pains for menstruation - aches in the front of the thighs. On the left side I had aches front and back and also down the left thigh - and one time there was an odd weak pingle like the old electric ovulation pingle.

So, I think I started mumps back on the 3th of June, had severe back pain with odd sensations, and then had a brief fling with chipmunk cherub face.

My "back" is still not happy.

Okay. I am mostly over this thing that was probably COVID. It went into my back on the left at about waist height and - ow. I was back in bed for a couple days. It is slowly relenting, but I need to keep my ibuprofen level up or incautious deep breaths are a bad bad idea.

I now have a swollen salivary gland on my right side, and my face is beautifully cherubic on that side. I have never had mumps, and vaccinations came out when I was an adult, and apparently the incubation phase can be 25 days, so it's *just* possible I caught it in the primordial soup that was my family reunion. Huzzah. Maybe it isn't mumps - but we're in duck territory here.

I am better enough to be *annoyed* instead of apathetic, but I'm still not comfy.

There were some WTF symptoms/effects with this Prolly Covid: I had a red patch across the top of the side of one thigh. It wasn't hot to the touch, it had no unusual sensations, and I stopped thinking about it. It is now peeling like I had a bad sunburn. No clue.
