The whole trucker convoy, occupations, etc is very frightening.

While all my newscasts used the Neil Lemay interview last night, only one news outlet used the clip where he stated that not only were/are there plans to target airports, there were/are plans to kill nurses and doctors.

I understand the desire to protest in places that inconvenience other people because it is the only way to be heard in a world buried in news.

Killing people, or even threatening to kill people, is so far into no-go territory, I haven't got words to express how completely and thoroughly "no" it is.

The media is largely still determined to both-sides it. Like they are just not willing to admit that one side is murderous fascistic terrorists.

And the problem with this is that people who would join an organization that will even consider murdering people aren't rational and often cannot consider that there could be another viewpoint.
Another thought. We cannot keep training people to go to war and kill in situations where they never even see the "enemy" without them coming home with those "skills".

Yes. We have fewer homegrown of those, but we have a whole basketful of unemployed oil workers who are accustomed to being the desirable demographic.

Yes. I also think there are sympathizers, not just in policing forces, but in journalist circles.

I think most journalists trend liberal. The owners of media outlets, on the other hand...
