Christmas Report.

The parental units left today, and have made it as far as Kamloops safely, so there is good hope that they will make it all the way.  Apparently the Coquihala was terrible, but my Dad spent most of his working life driving up in Northern BC, so, as long as they don't get hit by an idiot in an SUV, I don't have too many worries about them on winter roads.

Mom cooked Christmas Dinner, and it was fabulous.  Lorne's Mom brought the Christmas pudding with lemon sauce and that was fabulous.

I wish I didn't fight so much with my Dad.  Mom says that it is because we are so much alike - and of course both of us are insulted to hear that.  :)

My parents made a big purchase for us, and it was to be delivered today, but when it was unpacked from the box it was found to have a huge dished-in ding and so the replacement will have to be rescheduled later.

I have finally discovered a use for oatmeal: oatmeal stout. Yum.
