agoodwinsmithFound the idea we had for SOGP's mom - digital picture frame that can have the pictures loaded through the USB directly from the camera. Yay - this means that when anyone visits her, and they have photos on their camera, they can download them straight away. She's missing out on the pictures of her great-granddaughter because everyone is sending digital photos by email. I'd really like to get SOGP's mom a laptop - but she is very firm about not wanting a computer. *I* think if we can give her easy to use digital toys that give her something she wants, then she might change her mind. Maybe not - but is sure beats another sweater for Christmas - so: I'm happy.

Date: 2008-12-21 10:53 pm (UTC)I think I recall a wireless gadget for just this situation. Like those picture frames you load with digital photos, but this frame had an address which could be given to the children, who would then upload their photos directly in rotation on Grandma's frame without her lifting a finger.
