Frosty Hollow
Dec. 13th, 2017 03:51 pmYou know how in Agatha Christie (et al) murder mysteries, the slightly shady but ultimately red herring colonel retired from India comes home to a little cottage, with servants, which the colonel and his lady name some pathetic latin tag indicating perfect heaven on earth? Ultima Thule, I think is one of them.
We have plans to name our rural mobile something pithy. Right now I'm thinking Frosty Hollow about covers it. There may be no snow anywhere else, but the sky gods will do their best to wring out at least a skiff when no one else anywhere else gets even a flake. Also, we are at a higher elevation than town, so "near freezing" in town means +1 and here means -2. So the little skiffs never melt.
I think Frosty Hollow is the same kind of hopelessly optimistic name as the murder mystery version, and certainly better than Freeze Your Butt Off Manor.
