Not Cancer

I am glad to tell you that the nodule in my lung is not cancer.

That's why Mom and I went to Vancouver. I had a PET-CT scan where they put radioactive sugar tracer in your blood and then see where it ends up. It tends to end up in cancerous places because cancers use a lot of (sugar) energy to grow fast. My grape-sized nodule is still there, but dark and hopefully dormant. I get a follow-up CT scan (not PET) in six month. So very happy.

I am disappointed to report that the radioactive tracer doesn't glow in the bowl when you pee it out - even if you turn out the lights. Bummer.

Mom is exhausted from all the worry and driving and worry. We are both hoping to find a comfortable rut and groove in it for a while.

But did the radiation give you super powers?
