Vice-grips for the win!

I needed to move a shelf on a new bookcase at work, and needlenose pliers did not do the trick (not much grip in my hands anymore).  My SOGP who is smarter than *all* of you - ahem, sorry - very very smart, pressed upon me his favourite pair of vice-grips (he has lots).
